Autism Spectrum Disorder Practicum
Course: FLD0030
This placement provides students with a practical opportunity to demonstrate the vocational learning outcomes. Students gain experience observing and working with individuals with ASD in the setting of their choice (child-care centre, school, community setting or residential setting). This placement provides students with the opportunity to apply their theoretical learning to real-world settings. Students observe ethical practices in the field of ASD.
Notes
Before registering a student must successfully complete all theory courses FAM2010, FAM2020, FAM2030, FAM2040 and one elective: FAM2050, FAM2060 or FAM2070.
This placement requires an approval process, online registration is not available. Please visit the Field Placement Centre in the semester prior to your placement to determine all eligibility requirements have been met in order to register for this course.
