AC Online – An Inclusive Digital Campus
The digital mural art you can experience above reflects the importance of diversity and belonging to AC Online employees, facilitators, and learners. The content of the murals was inspired by the AC community. The selection of each element of the mural by the artists Jimmy Baptiste and Allan André was driven by their conversations and interactions with learners and employees on each of the campuses. These murals are Algonquin College’s compelling vision for inclusion, diversity, and belonging – and the AC Online mural is the only place you can see the complete College’s vision for Inclusion, as one piece of the mural lives in Perth Ontario, one piece lives in Ottawa, Ontario, and one in Pembroke Ontario.
We invite you to spend some time enjoying the piece and finding ways that your story connects to the images and sounds – because this is our story, and we invite you to be part of it.

Removing Barriers to Success
Whatever has stopped you from pursuing your dreams of learning, whether it be time, finances, location, or self-doubt – AC Online strives to ensure a welcoming and inclusive learning environment. We offer financial aid and awards for marginalized groups like the Audrey Lawrence Bursary for Indigenous students. If time is your challenge, with AC Online you can study on demand while working, parenting, or managing your other live obligations from wherever you are in the world. If you feel stressed along the way and need support, AC Online offers a variety of supports to help you succeed.
Focusing on Accessibility
Equity and accessibility considerations are central to the design of AC Online courses and digital learning environments. However, student access needs are as diverse as students themselves, so AC Online students can also access the services provided by the Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL). The CAL team is trained in understanding the need for accommodations, and how to provide them effectively to students with disabilities. AC Online offers a flexible approach to instruction and content presentation, in ways that accommodate students’ diverse skills and limitations.
Creating Choice
AC Online allows students to choose how visible they are to other students and their facilitators based on personal feelings of safety, to share or keep private their race, gender, ability or age etc. as they choose.
