Message from the President – Condolences from Algonquin College

Dear Colleagues and Learners,

It is with great sadness that we have learned today of the loss of life in the crash of Ukraine International Airlines Flight PS752 travelling from Tehran to Kyiv. This included the deaths of 63 Canadians and, among that number, students from at least four Canadian postsecondary institutions, including our Ottawa partners, the University of Ottawa and Carleton University.

At this time we do not have any information to suggest that Algonquin College students or employees were aboard the flight.

I know I speak for everyone in our college community when I say that we are thinking of those who have lost loved ones in this terrible tragedy. On behalf of everyone at Algonquin College, I would like to extend our deepest condolences.
