Message from the Vice President, Finance and Administration – Planned Power Shutdown

Dear Colleagues and Learners,

Crews are working to resolve technical issues at the Ottawa Campus with the College’s power supply. The issues are related to our transformers.

In order to undertake important maintenance work, a planned power shutdown will take place at approximately 10:15 p.m. this evening.

We are unable to provide a precise time for the restoration of full power at this time, but expect it could take up to two hours.

During the shutdown, please be advised that:

  • The College will be operating on emergency power. This means that there will be reduced lighting, heating and cooling in most buildings of the Ottawa Campus.
  • The ACCE Building will not be affected and will operate as normal.
  • Residence will be operating on generator power and will remain open and fully operational.

Crews will be working to restore power as quickly as possible and the College will be open as usual on Wednesday.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your attention to this notice.

Please watch for updates on myAC and the College’s social media channels.

Sincerely,

Duane McNair

Vice President, Finance and Administration
