Crews working to repair flood damage in E Building

Crews are working throughout the long weekend to clean and repair areas in the Ottawa Campus’s E Building that were affected by water damage on Saturday.

Flooding is believed to have been caused by a tap on the third floor of the E Building, which caused water damage on the third, second and first floors. Damage to equipment in the Students’ Association offices has also been reported and some walls, ceilings and floor areas have been affected.

A water-damage restoration company is now on site and working with Physical Resources and Security Services to assess damage and dry affected areas.

East-facing doors of the E Building are temporarily closed to limit pedestrian traffic and students and employees may need to take some detours in the building until all areas have been evaluated and cleared for regular use. No other buildings have been affected and College operations are expected to continue as usual on Monday and Tuesday.
