Message from the President – Students’ Association 50th Anniversary
Posted on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020
Congratulations to the Algonquin Students’ Association on five decades of tireless work on behalf of the student community.
The Students’ Association is a vital advocate for our students – making sure their voices are heard at all our campuses. As their organization has evolved and grown, so have their programs and services – from The Fitness Zone, Starbucks and The Observatory in Ottawa to The Landing in Pembroke to off-campus athletic activities in Perth. The Students’ Association helps ensure our learners have a rich student life filled with engagement opportunities, clubs, athletics, services, events and more.
The future is even brighter with the Association’s newest project on Ottawa Campus – a state-of-the-art Athletics and Recreation Centre – slated to open in 2021. It will truly be a difference maker in the social and physical well-being of our students.
Algonquin College could not ask for a more committed, dynamic partner in our mission to transform hopes and dreams into lifelong success. In the coming year, I look forward to working with Emily Ferguson, the current SA president – and finding opportunities to help celebrate this important milestone with her team.
Again, on behalf of the entire College community, happy 50th anniversary to the best Students’ Association in the country.
Sincerely,
Claude Brulé
President and CEO
