Update: Power Outage on Ottawa Campus

At 2:46 p.m., smoke was detected on an electrical switch in the A Building. As a precaution, Physical Resources cut power to parts of the Ottawa campus to allow an investigation into the source of the smoke.

We are unable to provide an ETA on resumption of power, pending further investigation.

Under the circumstances, please be advised that:

  • The ACCE Building is operating normally and all regularly scheduled activity is continuing.
  • All regularly scheduled activities, programs, and services in areas of the Ottawa Campus other than ACCE Building are now suspended until further notice.
  • Residence is currently without power but remains open. A generator will be arriving shortly.

College community members are asked to avoid the Campus at this time.
