AC to host welcome for Global Conference on Indigenizing Entrepreneurship

Algonquin College is hosting the Welcome Reception and Dinner for the Global Conference on Indigenizing Entrepreneurship.

The Welcome Reception is being held at Algonquin’s Ottawa campus from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 3. Algonquin is a partner sponsor for the international conference, which will bring together experts from across Canada and around the world to share best practices, compelling stories, and crucial insights on how Indigenous values, histories, and ways of knowing can transform entrepreneurial thinking.

The 2018 Global Conference on Indigenizing Entrepreneurship will be held June 3-5 at the Delta Ottawa City Centre Hotel. This conference will be held on the unceeded and unsurrendered territory of the Algonquin and Anishinabek peoples.

Conference speakers include Meagan Hill, Entrepreneur and Co-creator of the Leading People and Investing to Build Sustainable Communities program at Harvard Business School; JP Gladu, President and CEO of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business; and Shyra Barberstock, Entrepreneur and President (North America) of Okwaho Equal Source.
