Algonquin College Office Administration Students Donate to Dress for Success Ottawa

OTTAWA — Students in Algonquin College’s Office Administration program are teaming up with Dress for Success Ottawa with “Filing for Fashion” to facilitate equal opportunity employment for women across the city.

Students have been collecting donations of gently used business attire in exchange for up to two hours of general office services by student volunteers from the Algonquin College community. On March 31 at 11 a.m. they will take a full bus-load of donations to Dress for Success. Students, employees, and community members are invited to celebrate as the Thunder Bus leaves the College with the donations.

Dress for Success Ottawa has provided support to more than 1,000 women since 2011. Their mission is to empower women through a network of support, development tools, and professional attire to help women achieve economic independence.
