Algonquin College 2015 Spring Ottawa Convocation by the Numbers

convocation 2015 for webSix thousand, four hundred forty graduates invited to Convocation, with thousands of guests and a number of live stream viewers from around the world. Grads and guests filled up seven ceremonies at the Canadian Tire Centre.

Five honorary degree and diploma recipients, including Anthony Pollard, Dr. Robert Cushman, Senator Vernon White, Harvey Glatt, and Shirley Westeinde.   • Steve Stafford Memorial Continuing Education Award: Jordan Pynn
  • Robert C. Gillett Leadership Award: Marleigh-Ann Cheaney
  • Dr. H.H.J. Nesbitt Award: Kevin Brink
  • Governor General’s Award: Jessica Aly
  • School of Hospitality and Tourism Award: Kevin Allan Schneider
  • International House Prize: Lori-elle Burch
  • School of Business Award: Emily Anne Robinson
  • Police and Public Safety Award: Danika McDermott
  • School of Health and Community Studies Award: Maria Obas
  • General Arts and Science Award: Etienne Bradley Coon-Come Masiringi
  • School of Media and Design: Rebecca Anne White
  • School of Advanced Technology Award: Bret Elaine Satchell
  • Laurent Isabelle Award: Professor Cynthia Toffanello

And it’s all made possible by the dozens of employees who help make this ceremony happen – and all of those who got the students to their graduation, including family, friends, faculty and staff, and many others! Thank you!
