- Thunder Women’s Basketball team (15-1) take on the Sheridan Bruins in a qualifying match for the playoffs. The Thunder finished the regular season second overall, beating the Seneca Sting 56-38 last weekend. The Thunder, who operate under the auspices of the Algonquin Students’ Association, play the Bruins Saturday, February 28 at 6 p.m. in the Algonquin College Gym.

- Cross Country Checkup, Pembroke style: CBC’s Rex Murphy visits our Pembroke campus for his radio show. The show will focus on why many university graduates are enrolling in college to find work in their field of study. Sunday, March 1, in Pembroke, Ont. live from 4 – 6 p.m.

- Make the Transition from College to Career Day: Algonquin College’s Co-op Office, in partnership with the Students’ Association, Employment Services, and Bayshore Shopping Centre, is hosting Make the Transition from College to Career Day on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in the Student Commons.
Friday, Mar 6
- Launch of the AC Spa, Salon, and Boutique: Unveiling brand new labs for our Esthetician, Hairstyling, and Massage Therapy students and our Hairstyling apprentices. Friday, March 6, 2015, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the A Building Foyer
(near Woodroffe and Navaho) - Our Event Management students host their first fundraising event of the season in support of Children’s Wish Foundation. Each year, these students raise upwards of $100,000 for Children’s Wish. Up first: It’s a Fiesta: Nacho Average Wish Event at BAJA Grill, Dows Lake Pavillion on Friday March 6 from 6 – 9 p.m.
