In the News:
- Algonquin College was once again named a Top Employer in the National Capital Region for 2015.
- Pembroke campus student Sam Graham heads off to the 2015 Canada Winter Games on Thursday – he is a member of the wheelchair basketball team.
- With help from provincial politicians and agencies, Algonquin College, Carleton University, and the University of Ottawa formally launched the Capital Entrepreneurs program on Friday as part of Campus Linked Accelerator funding from the province.

Tuesday
- Morgan Spurlock presents in the Theatre: Documentary filmmaker known for Supersize Me and Where in the World is Osama bin Laden will be speaking in the Algonquin Commons Theatre at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10. Brought to you by the Algonquin Students’ Association! (Open to the public – ticket required.)
- 17th Annual Career Networking Fair: Algonquin’s largest on-campus recruitment event for full-time career-related employment directed at graduates and soon-to-be graduates, and for summer employment opportunities for students. The industry focus of this recruitment event is as broad as possible, and attracts more than a variety of 50 employers each year. Tuesday, February 10, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., in the Gym. (Open to students, alumni, employers.)
Saturday
- Love is the Answer CD Release Concert: Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Gifted Powerful Movement at their CD release for Love is the Answer. Gifted Powerful Movement inspires positive change into their audiences through powerful songs and testimonies. Saturday, February 15 at 7 p.m. in the Algonquin Commons Theatre (Open to the public – ticket required.)
- Basketball: The Women’s basketball team remains on top in the OCAA East Division! They head to Durham College along with the men’s team for games on Friday, February 13. The Thunder operate under the auspices of the Algonquin Students’ Association.
