Non-Commissioned Member Subsidized Education Plan
The Canadian Forces offers a subsidized education plan for Non-Commissioned Members (NCMs) which pays for all of your education and training costs while attending school, and guarantees you a job upon graduation. NCMs attend college during the school year and are required to attend basic and occupational training during the summer months.
Basic Military Training teaches basic military skills, core values, and the Basic Occupational Qualification Training at a Canadian Forces facility in Canada. Graduates must serve a number of years of service, based on two months of service for each month of subsidized education or training. In exchange, students will receive reimbursement for all tuition, books and academic equipment, salary and benefits while attending college, a summer job in between academic years, and a guaranteed job after program completion.
Interested candidates must meet the basic eligibility requirements of military service, which include being a Canadian Citizen and at least 17 years of age.
