What to Expect
Learn in our state-of-the-art recording studio
Students in the Music Industry Arts program at Algonquin College benefit from learning in a brand new, state-of-the-art recording studio, which consists of a large 2 story-recording floor, two isolation booths, an excellent size control room with seats for 15 students, and a separate machine room. The entire studio was designed and constructed by an experienced Architect and Acoustic Designer, who specializes in recording studio construction.

Work-Integrated Learning
“With this I’m going to learn how to make a finished product.”
Students are broken up into small groups to allow each student hands-on experience in the recording studio and the guidance of the instructor. Halfway through the first semester, students are given their own time in the studio to experience what it’s like to control their own recording session. This time can be used for their own projects, mastering the equipment, or applying techniques learned in class.
