The faculty teaching in the program have a wealth of knowledge and experience gleaned from working in the Illustration & Concept Art industry which they are eager to share to the next generation of artists. Many are award-winning, published, artists widely respected in their industry.
What kind of classes are there?
Illustration & Concept Art provides learning and teaching experiences for all manner of learners in flexible, multi-hybrid courses that allow students the flexibility to complete the course both in class and online. Lectures, group work, mentoring, and in some instances one-on-one interaction with clients who will provide feedback on students’ publishable assignments, will also be featured within the program.
What kind of things do you study in the program?
The successful applicant to Illustration & Concept Art will study various techniques and styles which will allow them to adapt within the various genres in our industry. They will learn successful problem-solving methods, drawing techniques, and production methods for the magazine, graphic novel, and entertainment industries.
What is the cost of books and supplies?
Books and supplies cost approximately $3,000. This includes a laptop, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator software, as well as traditional media supplies, such as acrylics, watercolour and charcoal.
