What to Expect

Algonquin College is proud to provide a diverse and dynamic student experience. Check out the highlights below to get a sense of what to expect as a student in the Drawing Foundations for Animation & Illustration program.

A Foundation program is designed to provide students an opportunity to explore related fields of study and prepares learners to continue their academic pathways towards a career in their area of interest.

Throughout your time in Drawing Foundations for Animation & Illustration, you will build a portfolio of work that represents your drawing ability and artistic strengths that can be used to apply for further programs of study. The program concludes with a showcase event that provides an opportunity to exhibit your best works and interact with industry professionals, peers, family and friends.

This program provides students with an introduction to more advanced drawing-related programs, including, but not limited to:

  • Animation
  • Illustration & Concept Art

Seats are held in each of these programs for graduates of the Drawing Foundations for Animation & Illustration program.
