What to Expect

Algonquin College is proud to provide a diverse and dynamic student experience. Check out the highlights below to get a sense of what to expect as a student in the Design Foundations program.

A Foundation program is designed to provide students an opportunity to explore related fields of study and prepares learners to continue their academic pathways towards a career in their area of interest.

Throughout your time in Design Foundations, you will build a portfolio of work that showcases your abilities and will help you apply into other programs of study at the College. The program concludes with a showcase event where you can display your work and begin to make valuable industry connections.

Upon graduating, you will be able to transfer credits into other programs such as:

  • Graphic Design Ontario College Advanced Diploma
  • Interior Decorating Ontario College Diploma

These programs hold a set number of seats for students graduating from a Foundation program.
