Guiding Principles
The Guiding Principles for the MCDP are the Integrated College Development Planning (ICDP) Framework. This was approved by the Board of Governors in April 2020 and created a set of principles to guide all development initiatives and decisions made by the College.
The Integrated College Development Planning (ICDP) Framework will be applied during the planning and evaluation of proposed projects to ensure the College achieves its mission and strategic goals and responds effectively to changes in pedagogy, technology, and other influences.
Algonquin’s updated ICDP Framework Principles incorporate four aspects – Space, Technology, People, and Finance – that reflect the values and priorities of the College.
The ICDP framework is a collection of:
- principles that guide development planning for the College
- processes to consider possible future scenarios; tools to embrace risks and build resilience;
- procedures to implement priority projects with confidence and success.
