Keynote address: AI is Here to Stay (And that’s a good thing!)
Join Tamey McIntosh as she brings her experience and expertise with AI to our discussion today and encourages us to embrace this culture of innovation and consider the art of the possible.
Tamey will engage us with an overview of the foundations of AI with a look at how we got to where we are today. She will examine the AI landscape and highlight lessons learned from early adopters across a number of sectors. Tamey will launch from this foundational discussion to a look at how AI is currently impacting the workplace and how it will shape the future of work, with a nod to the higher education space. While challenging us to consider how we prepare ourselves and embrace AI in a thoughtful and strategic way, Tamey will reference the challenges and limitations by considering some of the societal and ethical realities of artificial intelligence.
Biography – Tamey McIntosh
Tamey McIntosh is a seasoned professional with multifaceted expertise in the fields of communication strategy and information technology. Her twenty-seven-year career started at Accenture, then moved to the public sector before co-founding Braiyt AI, where she is serves as Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer.
Braiyt AI’s mission is to help businesses unlock the full potential of their data and drive growth through the power of AI. Their solutions allow businesses to integrate advanced AI computer vision capabilities quickly and easily into existing systems and workflows. Employing Braiyt’s user-friendly platform and intuitive interface allows those businesses with no prior experience with AI technology to get up and run in no time.
Tamey’s career trajectory has been characterized by her profound knowledge and hands-on experience in the realms of artificial intelligence strategies, business transformation, project management, and information technologies. Her extensive tenure in these domains has allowed her to tackle a diverse array of challenges across various sectors, including government initiatives, crown corporations, and the private sector.
One of Tamey’s distinguishing qualities is her unique ability to bridge the gap between the intricate technical nuances of IT and the pragmatic needs of clients.
