Service Description This advisory service is designed to bridge the gap between your business needs and the latest IT solutions that can drive your business forward. Leveraging our deep industry expertise and technology insights, we meticulously analyze your high-level business requirements to identify and screen potential IT solutions. Our comprehensive approach ensures we recommend the most viable solution that aligns with your strategic goals and the established enterprise architecture.
Service Scope The scope of this service includes:

  • Business Requirement Analysis: Understanding and defining high-level business requirements to ensure the recommended solutions meet your strategic objectives.
  • Solution Identification: Exploring the technology landscape to identify potential IT solutions that align with your business needs. These include but are not limited to the following:
  • Enhance the current solution in use
  • Reuse of a solution available in the College
  • A new Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • A new commercial-off-the-shelf software (COTS)
  • System and/or Data integration
  • Custom software development hosted in Cloud or in AC datacenter
  • Options Analysis: Evaluating identified solutions based on predefined criteria to ensure they meet quality, compatibility, and performance standards.
  • Recommendation Report: Delivering a detailed report that includes our recommended solution, supported by an analysis of its viability, benefits, and alignment with your business goals.
  • Cost Estimation and Timeline: Providing Class D cost estimates and an approximate timeline for the implementation of the recommended solution, aiding in budgetary and planning efforts.
  • If accepted by the requester, handoff of high-level business requirements and proposed solution to the appropriate implementation team in ITS.

Note: The service does not recommend a specific product or service provider if an RFP might be necessary for procurement. Implementation of the recommended solution is also NOT in scope of this service.

Service Requirements The service request should be made using the New Solution Request Form and include the business need or a problem statement and high-level business requirements. For requests arising from initiatives endorsed by CTC/ICDP/ACET, please use the Strategic Initiative Intake Form.

Service Performance Levels Service performance levels are highly dependent on the responsiveness of ITS staff and third-party vendors to information requests from the BRM team.
