What does the BRM Team do?
The Business Relationship Management (BRM) team acts as a bridge between ITS and all business units at the college, ensuring that technology services and solutions are not only aligned with, but also actively support, the college’s strategic and operational objectives.
By managing and nurturing these strategic relationships, we facilitate effective communication, understanding, and collaboration between ITS and the rest of the college. Our mandate is to identify IT-enabled solutions that enhance educational outcomes, streamline administrative processes, and support the college’s mission and vision. What does that look like? - Manage delivery of requests of technology enabled initiatives for new solutions, processes, and enhancements
- Mitigate risks associated with software contracts, license renewals and software end-of-life
- Co-develop business plans and roadmaps
- Raise awareness to the business units about available IT solutions
- Acquire the knowledge and expertise on your business to identify opportunities for new IT-enabled initiatives
- Research best practices and facilitate sessions on emerging technologies and new solutions
- Refine ITS KPIs to better align with business unit KPIs
Through this integrated approach along with adopting the Business Relationship Management (BRM) Institute framework and utilizing Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices, BRM ensures that ITS initiatives are in lockstep with the college’s overall planning, contributing to a cohesive and forward-thinking educational environment.
