The main telephone system provides on-campus service with standard features such as long distance access, call hold, transfer, waiting, forwarding, conference calling, last number redial, voice mail and music on hold. These services also include:
- Emergency Phones: The College operates a fleet of emergency phones to ensure the security of our campus for students, staff and faculty.
- Fax: The College supports the connection of fax equipment to its voice management system for call distribution and access.
- Long Distance: Long Distance calling is available to all handsets at the College. North American dialing is configured for all phones in non-public areas. International long distance is available on request.
- Phone Queue Management and Reporting: For high volume call handling services, there are services which facilitate call dispatch and response along with reporting and monitoring call quality.
- Residence Voice Services: The College provides voice services to residents of the College’s Residence at Woodroffe. These services include basic telephone and auto attendant services. Long Distance and voicemail services are not provided to the Residence.
- Speech Based auto attendants: The College operates a speech based auto attendant which directs calls to specific individuals or groups.
- Teleconferencing: Voice conference services are available which provide “meet me on the bridge” conference capability. The service includes local calling, long distance and toll free access from within North America.
- Telephones: The College provides standard Voice over IP phones. The service includes maintaining, repairing and responding to change requests. Phone handsets available including single line, multi-line, softphone and wireless devices.
- Voicemail: The College provides a unified voicemail system which allows clients to receive voicemail delivered to their mail client or from their handset.
