Short-term/Summer Programs
If you think you don’t have time for travel because you are in the middle of a busy college program, consider these three words: May through August. Rather than working in retail this summer, why not consider a global learning experience? You can even earn academic credits at the same time.
“As an ECE students, this experience allowed me to gather information and techniques and put them into practice when I teach. I also got to know about the culture and small town of Monte Cristi.” – Josey
An international experience can help you acquire the skills today’s employers are looking for. When you are able to put international experience on your resume you demonstrate to employers that you are confident, flexible and adaptable, that you have problem-solving skills, and have strong communication skills and that you are able to work across cultures and with diverse groups of people.
