Offshore Curriculum
As a vital part of our commitment to internationalization and to extend our reach and influence, Algonquin College delivers academic programming offshore in partnership with international academic institutions. Students who successfully complete Algonquin College’s programs, either in collaboration with our overseas Academic Partners or at one of our offshore campuses, will receive the same credential provided to students at our Canadian campuses.
The following delivery models are currently used for Algonquin College’s programs overseas:
- Single delivery model: Algonquin College licenses a program to an overseas partner for delivery. The College can additionally provide support in monitoring and auditing the quality of the program but does not issue the credential to the students. Our partnership with Canadian College Kuwait is an example of this affiliated model where students receive their credential from the partner institution (Canadian College Kuwait).
- Joint delivery model: Algonquin College licenses the delivery of programs within a post-secondary institution but does not own the programs as a whole. Students in these programs have the option to continue their studies at Algonquin College’s Canadian campuses while paying international student fees. The joint delivery model is currently utilized in our partnership with Ningbo Polytechnic in Ningbo, China.
