Information for New Students beginning their program in Winter 2024
Preparing to Arrive
Students starting semester 1 in January who are still awaiting study permit approval, please visit the Registrar’s Office for more information on deadlines for deferrals and withdrawals. Otherwise please click here for important information to help you prepare for your arrival.
Orientation
If you did not attend International Student Orientation in December, be sure to register in one of the upcoming mandatory International Student Orientations here and find other useful information to help you prepare for your arrival and your studies here. And don’t forget to download AC iCent App for important info updates and resources. This self-serve tool is available 24/7.
Program Change
Semester 1 students who wish to transfer into a different program for Winter 2024 must make an appointment with the International Education Centre (IEC) by visiting the Withdrawal and Program Change Website. Review available programs here.
Withdrawals
All students, new or returning, who wish to withdraw should visit Withdrawal and Program Change Website to officially withdraw in writing and/or meet with staff for additional questions and immigration guidance when the College reopens.

Students Unsuccessful in 1 Or More Fall 2023 Courses
If you have been unsuccessful in one or more courses this semester and have questions about your course progression for next semester, please contact your Program Coordinator to review options available to you.
If you have been academically de-registered, please take the following steps:
- If you would like to study in Winter 24: review available programs and apply to change programs.
- Book an appointment for immigration support.
