Arriving by Plane

Getting Around Town

Taxis are available outside the airport terminal. Make sure you have the address of where you are going and approximately $50 in Canadian money. Algonquin College’s Ottawa Campus is located at 1385 Woodroffe Avenue, across from OC Transpo’s Baseline Station.

Important Documents to Bring

When traveling to Canada, you must have the following documents available to show to immigration and customs officials.

  • A Canadian Visitor Visa or Study Permit
  • A valid passport
  • A letter of Acceptance from Algonquin College
  • A detailed list of all the personal or household items you are bringing with you or have shipped separately
  • The address of where you are going to live
