Steps to Apply

To ensure your application to Algonquin College has the best chance of success, follow our simple 10-step process.

Only 1 active application is processed. Additional applications will be cancelled and the $95 application fee will not be refunded.

Step 1: Confirm your program is open

Confirm your program – Open Programs

Note 1:
When you are choosing a program, be sure that you do not choose any “on-line” programs. Also, Algonquin College has 3 campuses – our main one on Woodroffe Avenue in Ottawa, and two satellite campuses – Perth (about 50 minutes from Ottawa) and Pembroke (about 1.5 hours from Ottawa). If you choose either Perth (PT) or Pembroke (PM) it is important to note that we do not have an International Student Office at those campuses. The International Education Centre is located on Woodroffe Campus.

Note 2:
As of November 1st, 2024, students applying for a study permit for a program delivered by a public college will need to graduate from a field of study linked to occupations where there is a long-term labour shortage, as defined by the Government of Canada, to be eligible for a PGWP of up to three years. Please refer to the PGWP-eligible Program Page for more information and to confirm program eligibility.
