All updates will be made on the application portal by the admissions team. Repeated requests only slow down the work of the entire team. Please be assured that the entire admissions office working hard to get letters to applicants as quickly as possible. We understand student concerns and study permit application deadlines.

Vineet Bajaj

Vineet Bajaj – Regional Deputy Director – South Asia

Vineet is in charge of South Asia (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan) operations for Algonquin College. Vineet also oversees the recruitment initiatives for South Asian nationals based in the Gulf and Middle-East. His responsibilities include managing marketing, recruitment, and partnership development, enhancing the presence of Algonquin College in the region, and developing Algonquin College’s strategy. Vineet has had the first-hand experience of an international student and immigrant life outside of India and takes particular interest in key aspects that lead to great student experience. Vineet is focused on providing exemplary service to our partners and nurturing our current relationships in the region while identifying new opportunities. Vineet’s mandate, and that of his team, is to provide easy access and timely support to all agents, students, and partners in the region.

Preeti Arora – Manager, Operations – South Asia

Preeti has worked in the key functional areas of Admissions and Visa assessment for over a decade and joined Algonquin College with past experience at well-known Global Educational Institutions and Diplomatic missions and is passionate about working with our aspiring students and partners by providing relevant information to admission related inquiries and reviewing assessing applications for admissibility.

Student Direct Stream (SDS) – Closed

Please note that the Student Direct Stream (SDS) was officially closed by IRCC on November 8, 2024. Prospective students are invited to apply through the regular study permit stream, which accepts Guaranteed Investment Certificates as proof of financial support. Canada continues to welcome international students from all around the world. This change will not adversely affect eligibility for those who wish to apply for a study permit from a country where the SDS initiatives have been offered
