Media Destruction Services

The Information Security Unit offers secure media destruction services at no charge to departments or individuals from any campus. This service helps reduce the risk of costly, accidental data breaches.

Bring your old, unwanted media (such as USB drives, hard drives, portable hard drives, optical disks, floppy disks) to us and we will ensure that they are securely destroyed using certified methods and provide a certificate of destruction if required.

You can even drop off your unwanted home computer hard disks and other media that were used to access College systems and information.

Note that Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES) e-waste recycling locations recommend that you securely wipe your hard drives and other media before recycling.
