Tyson Macaulay is the Chief Security Strategist and Vice President of Security Services at Fortinet. This role involves international business strategy and thought leadership for Fortinet, and developing Consulting Services capacity.
Tyson is also a researcher with lectureship, books (4), periodical publications (dozens) and patents (2) starting in 1993. Tyson supports the development of engineering and security standards through the International Standards Organization (ISO), and Professional Engineers of Ontario.

From 2001 to 2005 he was Director of Risk Management for a U.S. defence contractor – Electronic Warfare Associates and founded General Network Services (GNS 1996 – 2001). Tyson’s career began as research consultant for the Canadian Federal Department of Communications (DoC) on information networking, where he helped develop the first generation of Internet Services in Canada in the early 1990’s.
