Phillip Haid
Phillip Haid co-founded PUBLIC Inc. in 2008 to create innovative and scalable social movements and campaigns that would generate social impact through fundraising, advocacy and volunteer engagement. As CEO, he is responsible for strategy, creative and operations. Recent initiatives include: RUBR (a fair trade hockey puck); Healthy Candidates (a provincial advocacy campaign for the Heart & Stroke Foundation); National Sweater Day (a national campaign to promote energy reduction for WWF); the Get HandsOn Challenge (a national campaign to mobilize volunteerism across the U.S.); Zero Force (an advocacy and fundraising initiative with Gen. Romeo Dallaire to eradicate the use of child soldiers); and Power of 2 (a celebrity charitable fundraising platform).
Prior to creating PUBLIC, Phillip was Vice–President and Managing Director at Manifest Communications (a social marketing agency); led the public sector practice at D-Code (a youth research and marketing firm); was a Project Manager at the Institute of Governance (a think-tank based in Ottawa); and was a Project Officer at the Canadian Council for International Cooperation.
