Pamela Divinsky

It is my belief that the companies that stand for something socially meaningful and relevant will gain competitive distinctiveness, be experienced as beacons of trust and respect, will secure a more profitable and enduring business – and have a positive impact on the world.

Based on the belief that standing for something - a social purpose - is the source of competitive differentiation and stronger emotional bonding, Social Purpose Strategies can strengthen reputations, brands and business performance.  Proving that profit and positive social impact are mutually reinforcing is my professional and personal mission.

The Divinsky Group builds Social Purpose Strategies for corporate and not-for-profit clients.  Our work includes social program audits and evaluations, social landscape assessments and defining clear social missions that are aligned with, and leverage, corporate strategies and objectives.  In addition, The Divinsky Group has developed an evaluation model - Return on Social Investment (ROSI) performance assessment – which demonstrates social impact and impact on the business.

Prior to creating The Divinsky Group, Pamela was Vice-President, Ethos JWT.  She earned her consulting credentials at KPMG, and began her career as an Economic History Professor at The University of Toronto.  Pamela has a PhD from The University of Chicago, is the Program Director of the new Centre of Excellence in Corporate Responsibility at the Schulich Executive Education Centre, and writes a blog on corporate responsibility for Corporate Knights.
