Welcome to Health Services!

Algonquin College Health Services provides professional, confidential medical services. Our physicians are available by appointment, and our Registered Nurses provide assessment and treatment of minor illnesses or injuries with no appointment necessary. A Mental Health Social Worker is also available several days a week.

New process for blood work requisition for employees

Health Services provides many supports to students and employees, and due to ever-increasing demand, Health Services is changing one of the services we provide. Moving forward, employees are asked to take blood work requisition forms from their family doctors to labs located across the city, instead of doing this work in Health Services. Find a lab near you.

Book your immunization appointments now

For all Immunizations for placements, you can now call Health Services to book an appointment with a nurse at 613-727-4723 ext. 7222 or come to Health Services Reception in C141 to book an appointment.

Start early to get medical forms for program entry

If you need to submit medical forms for your program, you can download them from our Form Directory, or from your course web page. Plan ahead and start early! Forms must be submitted prior to field placements. The process usually takes a minimum of two weeks to complete, but may take up to four weeks depending on your immunization history.

Note: Some programs have specific deadlines for form completion. If you have any questions regarding requirements or deadlines, please contact your program coordinator.

Health insurance for International Students

International Students are required to show proof of their health insurance to access Health Services. For more information, visit the Guard.Me website or contact Algonquin’s International Education Centre (Student Central in the lower level of the DARE District, Ottawa campus).
