Success Stories and Testimonials
“I chose this program as I’ve always been passionate about working in the medical field to help others. This program offered an opportunity to combine my desire to make a positive impact with hands-on, technical skills that directly contribute to patient care.
This program provided the perfect balance between hands-on clinical experience and theoretical learning. After three semesters of coursework, I felt fully prepared to take on the three-semester clinical placement.
One of the best highlights of my time in the program was the incredible people I met along the way—both instructors and classmates. The faculty was genuinely dedicated to our success, I always felt encouraged to ask questions and seek help when needed. The friendships I formed with my classmates were invaluable. We supported each other, learned together, and built lasting connections that I will carry with me throughout my life.”

Work Integrated Learning
The Medical Radiation Technology program at Algonquin College provides you with clinical experience from the onset of the program through weekly labs to the end of the program with clinical placements. This enables you to apply your analytical thinking directly to medical imaging throughout the duration of the program. Furthermore, small class sizes give you more time for hands-on experience and mentorship from faculty. Three clinical practicums totaling more than 1,500 hours in clinical setting either within Ottawa or requiring relocation to another clinical setting across Ontario.
