Composting at Algonquin College

While we make every effort to reduce food waste in own own kitchens, any remaining waste gets entered into the composting program.

Food Services has partnered with Facilities Management to augment composting efforts in locations on the Ottawa Campus. Employees at Boosters Juice, Bits n’ Bytes, The Portable Feast, Tim Hortons, Marketplace Food Court, and The Fix are rerouting organic waste produced in their work areas to composting bins. Food waste is then picked up and entered into the composting program.
