Specialty Programs
The Institution-Funded Special Bursary Program (ISBP) offers financial assistance for educational costs to pursue a postsecondary program for the first time. ISBP is awarded to students in financial need enrolled in academic upgrading or Pre-English for Academic Purposes.

The Experienced Worker Centre (EWC) at Algonquin College can help adults who have been laid-off, are underemployed or are simply considering a new career identify programs and financial support that can assist them on their journey, such as Second Career.

Grants for students with permanent disabilities are available through OSAP. If you indicate on your OSAP application that you have a permanent disability, you will be required to provide proof for OSAP purposes. Contact your physician to have the required OSAP document completed for submission. Book an appointment with the Centre for Accessible Learning if you wish to access available disability grants.

Peer Tutoring Services matches registered Algonquin College students who are having academic difficulties with trained students for one-on-one content tutoring. Students that qualify for sponsored tutoring through the International Education Centre, Centre for Accessible Learning, WSIB, Aspire AC Sponsorship or Dual Credit program are expected to use the relevant sponsorship for tutoring and will not be eligible to receive Financial Aid sponsored tutoring. Any attempt to intentionally misuse the service in anyway may lead to denial of funding for future tutoring.
Instructions:Students must pay for tutoring up-front and provide Financial Aid and Student Awards receipts by the end of the term for re-imbursement. There is a three-hour a week limit for tutoring reimbursed by Financial Aid and Student Awards. If you need more hours, you are expected to pay for them yourself. Eligibility Criteria:
