The ALGONQUIN COLLEGE BURSARIES which are specifically for programs in the School of Business are listed on this page.

Funds for bursaries marked with an asterisk are matched through the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS). To be eligible, you must be a Canadian Citizen and have been a resident of Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months, and must not have attended full-time post-secondary studies in the year prior to submitting your bursary application.

Fall Bursaries

Advocis Ottawa Chapter – Kristan Birchard Bursary*

Awarded to full-time students enrolled in the Business Administration program who can demonstrate financial need.

Benjamin M. Schlussel Supply Chain Bursary

In honour and memory of Ben Schlussel, who passed away on September 2, 2021, the board of directors of the former APICS Ottawa Chapter has established the Benjamin M. Schlussel Supply Chain Bursary.

As an active member of APICS for more than 40 years, Ben worked tirelessly educating and guiding multiple generations of material planners and process managers. The Benjamin M. Schlussel Supply Chain Bursary will continue Ben’s spirit of giving back by annually supporting a student in the third year of the Bachelor of Commerce (e-Supply Chain Management) program based on financial need.

CIBC Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Business Administration – Finance (during Level 05) and Office Administration-Executive programs who can demonstrate financial need.

CIBC Diversity Bursary

Supporting at least 3 student bursaries of at least $2,000 each per year for students from the Black Community, Indigenous Students and students with a disability enrolled in the School of Business, School of Advanced Technology, and School of Media and Design, across all Algonquin College campuses.

Direct Energy/Sens Foundation – Bill Patterson Memorial Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Business-Marketing, Marketing Management, Sport Business Management and the Broadcasting-Television programs who can demonstrate financial need.

Empowering Black Students Bursary

Awarded to first-year self-identified Black students enrolled in the School of Business who can demonstrate financial need.

Frank and Anna Altimas Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Business Administration-Accounting program who can demonstrate financial need.

Geoff Mace Bursary*

Awarded to full-time students enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied e-Business Supply Chain Management program who can demonstrate financial need.

Hazel – Smart Patterson Bursary*

The Hazel Smart-Patterson Bursary will be awarded annually based on financial need to two (2) women with a GPA of 3.6+ who are in the third (3 rd ) or fourth (4th ) year of a full-time program in one of the Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) programs. Each student will receive a $1,000 bursary applied first to their tuition.

The Bursary is for students who are Canadian citizens.
The Bursary is open to female students enrolled in programs at the Ottawa Campus.

Kiwanian Alex Dayton Seniors Activity Centre Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Business Management and Entrepreneurship program upon completion of Level 02 who can demonstrate financial need.

Low Murchison Radnoff LLP Bursary*

Awarded to Level 03 students enrolled in the Paralegal program who can demonstrate financial need.

MBNA Canada/Sens Foundation Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the 3 year Business, or 2 year Marketing, or Sport Business Management programs who can demonstrate financial need.

Nello Bortolotti Bursary (Ottawa Community Fund)

Awarded every two years to students enrolled in the International Business Management program who can demonstrate financial need.

Performance Management Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Business e-Business Supply Chain Management program upon completion of Level 04 who can demonstrate financial need.

PureSpirIT Solutions Inc. Bursary

Awarded to an Indigenous student enrolled in any year, in one of the programs listed below, across all Algonquin College campuses, and who can demonstrate financial need.

Awarded to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Business e- Supply Chain Management program who can demonstrate financial need.

Susan Woodruff Bursary

Awarded to (5) students enrolled in the School of Business who can demonstrate financial need.

Tallyho Paralegal Bursary*

Awarded to full-time students enrolled in the Paralegal program who can demonstrate financial need and overcome challenges.

The Personal Insurance Company Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in the School of Business during the third year of the Business Administration-Finance program at the Ottawa Campus at the College.

Anne Booth Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in a 1, 2 or 3 year School of Business program who can demonstrate financial need.

Canadian Institute of Management Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in the Business Administration – Core program who can demonstrate financial need.

Awarded to Level 05 students enrolled the Business Administration-Human Resources program who can demonstrate financial need.

James Campbell Financial Services Bursary

Awarded to full-time students enrolled in the 3rd year of the Business Administration-Finance program who can demonstrate financial need.

John Painter Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in a School of Business program who can demonstrate financial need.

Awarded to students enrolled in the Marketing and Business Intelligence program who can demonstrate financial need.

Established to provide financial support to in-course, and final-year students enrolled in any program at the School of Business on the Ottawa campus.

The CPA Ontarioj Foundation is pleased to offer this bursary with preference given to black students enrolled in an Accounting, Finance or Business program and who are achieving a passing GPA.
