Scholarships
Most scholarships have no application process. The selection is completed by Financial Aid and Student Awards in recognition of academic excellence.
Awards
Some awards have an application process. For those with an application, details on the application and submission deadline can be found in the Award description. The selection is completed by the Academic Departments in recognition of academic excellence and extracurricular activities, such as volunteerism and leadership.

Award for Academic Excellence
Awarded to graduates of a post-secondary program who have not only maintained a high level of academic achievement, but have made an outstanding contribution to supporting school activities and influencing the quality of life at the Campus.
Award for Dedication to the Carpentry Trade
Awarded to graduates of the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program who have shown devotion and dedication to the Carpentry trade.
Award for Dedication to the Field of Preservation in Canada
Awarded to graduates of the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program who have shown strong commitment to the field of preservation in Canada.
Award for Outstanding Achievement in Joinery Skills
Awarded to graduates of the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program who have shown exemplary attributes in problem solving and craft skills in producing traditional joinery projects.
Bean Chevrolet Buick GMC Business Plan Award
Awarded annually to graduates of the Business – Agriculture program who have achieved the highest grade on the capstone Business Plan project.
Dr. H.H.J. Nesbitt Award
Awarded annually by the Board of Governors to the student graduating with the highest academic standing.
Grenville Mutual Leadership Award
Awarded to graduates of the Business – Agriculture program who have best achieved academic success while demonstrating leadership qualities, which support the future for the agribusiness sector. These graduates will be well-rounded — having achieved academic success, exhibited leadership qualities, and contributed to the success of future students.
The Hazel Smart-Patterson Environmental Scholarships
Awarded annually to two (2) students in any of the following programs* with a GPA of 3.6+
- Environmental Management and Assessment Certificate Program
- Environmental Technician Program
- Business – Agriculture Program
Heritage Carpentry and Joinery Teamwork Award
Awarded to a graduate of the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program who exhibits teamwork and is an overall good, caring person. This award is established in loving memory of Joanne Armstrong.
Leadership in Agriculture Award
Awarded annually to graduates of the Business – Agriculture program who have best achieved academic success while demonstrating leadership qualities, which support the future of the agribusiness sector.
MD Charlton Company Award
Awarded to second-year students enrolled full-time in the Police Foundations program (Ottawa, Perth, Pembroke campus), who exemplify leadership and community involvement.
Outstanding Achievement in Timber Framing Award
Awarded to graduates of the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program who have demonstrated a high level of skill, commitment to the trade and who have made a significant contribution to the annual timber framing project.
Perth Campus Leadership Award
Awarded to graduates of a post-secondary program who have demonstrated leadership with both student and campus initiatives, have contributed to the local community, and who have a grade point average of at least 3.0.
Robert C. Gillett Leadership Award
Awarded to graduates of a post-secondary program who demonstrate exemplary volunteer leadership that contributes to the overall Algonquin College Student experience.
