The ALGONQUIN COLLEGE BURSARIES which are specifically for programs in the School of Advanced Technology are listed on this page.

Funds for bursaries marked with an asterisk are matched through the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS). To be eligible, you must be a Canadian Citizen and have been a resident of Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months, and must not have attended full-time post-secondary studies in the year prior to submitting your bursary application.

The ADGA Bursary

The ADGA Bursary provides ten bursaries per year to students enrolled in any School of Advanced Technology program. Priority is given to Indigenous and or female students.

Biotechnology Advanced Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in the Biotechnology – Advanced program who can demonstrate financial need.

BWXT Medical Bursary for Indigenous Students in the Biotechnology – Advanced Diploma Program

Awarded to third-year indigenous students enrolled in the Biotechnology – Advanced program who can demonstrate financial need.

BWXT Medical Bursary for Students in the Biotechnology – Advanced Diploma Program

Awarded to third-year students enrolled in the Biotechnology – Advanced program who can demonstrate financial need.

BWXT Medical Bursary for Women in the Biotechnology – Advanced Diploma Program

Awarded to third-year female students enrolled in the Biotechnology – Advanced program who can demonstrate financial need.

CIBC Diversity Bursary

Supporting student bursaries for students from the Black Community, Indigenous Students and students with a disability enrolled in the School of Business, School of Advanced Technology, and School of Media and Design, across all Algonquin College campuses.

Colin J. Everett Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Biotechnology – Advanced program during Level 03 and Level 05 and the Medical Radiation Technology program who can demonstrate financial need.

Computer Associates Canada Company Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in one of the following programs: Computer Engineering Technology – Computing Science, Computer Systems Technology – Security, Computer Systems Technician – Networking or Computer Programming program who can demonstrate financial need.

David and Susan Woodruff Bursary

Awarded to (5) students each year enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program who can demonstrate financial need.

Dr. Abdul Al-Azzawi Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in any School of Advanced Technology program who can demonstrate financial need.

Ed Ireland Mechanical Engineering Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering program upon completion of Level 01 who can demonstrate financial need.

Harry Bloomfield Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in the Sport Business Management, Music Industry and Computer Engineering Technology – Computer Science programs who can demonstrate financial need.

James Reid Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Computer Engineering Technology program during Level 03 who can demonstrate financial need.

Jean-Marc M. Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in the Computer Programming or Mobile and Web User Experience Design program at the AC Online or Ottawa Campuses. Special consideration given to students who self-identify with the Black, Indigenous or Person of Colour (BIPOC) community.

John Waters Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering program during Level 03 who can demonstrate financial need.

Makwa Resourcing Inc Bursary

Awarded by the Financial Aid and Students Awards Office to three Indigenous students per year in demonstrated financial need who are entering any of the following programs:

O.A.C.E.T.T. Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Information Technology – Photonics and Laser Technology, Biotechnology Advanced, Environmental Management and Assessment, Water and Waste Water Technician, Computer Engineering Technology – Computing Science, Electro – Mechanical Engineering Technician – Robotics, Manufacturing Engineering Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technician, Electrical Engineering Technician and Electrical Engineering Technology programs (recognized by O.A.C.E.T.T.) who can demonstrate financial need.

Paul Khoury – Ann Holmes Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in any School of Advanced Technology program who can demonstrate financial need.

Premier’s Technology Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in any School of Advanced Technology program who can demonstrate financial need.

Princess Auto Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in the Aircraft Maintenance Technician, Motive Power Technician and Motive Power Technician – Diesel Equipment and Truck programs who can demonstrate financial need.

Stewart Farmer Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in the Aviation Management program who can demonstrate financial need.

Toyota Canada Foundation Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Motive Power Technician program who can demonstrate financial need.

Valentin Doroga Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in the Computer Engineering (Co-op) program who can demonstrate financial need.

Westeinde Construction / Griffiths Rankin Cook Architects Design-Build Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Electrical Engineering Technology programs who can demonstrate financial need. Students must represent team spirit, an interest in the integration of design and construction process and where possible can show practical examples. Students should also have strong written and oral presentation skills.

Awarded to students enrolled in the Photonics and Laser Technology (BIT) and the Web Development & Internet Applications programs during Level 03 who can demonstrate financial need.
