Ideas flow at May 28 Employee Engagement Open Forum

Slightly over 150 employees from across the College gathered together for a lively discussion at the first Employee Engagement Open Forum, and more than 90 tuned in online. The session was part of the College’s effort to draft a plan for dealing with the top issues identified in Employee Engagement Survey.

Attendees were asked to share their ideas on how they believed the College could address 3 important topics;

  1. Increasing Communications
  2. Celebrating Success/Employee Recognition/Dealing with Low Performers
  3. Streamlining Internal Processes

Improving transparency, accountability, dialogue and the flow of information were popular themes, with all the ideas and solutions raised to be shared with the College community no later than Friday, May 31, 2013.

Additional online and face-to-face engagement sessions are planned with all participants agreeing that greater effort should be taken to ensure all College employees have an opportunity for input. More details are to follow in the days and weeks ahead.

Those not unable to attend can view a recording of the session by clicking here. Download the PowerPoint here.

A full summary of issues and solutions raised during the session will be released no later than Friday, May 31.
