“Because of Sandra’s friendly welcoming way, students feel very comfortable and are able to connect with her. When professors reach out for guidance with a student, Sandra is there open to their often frustrations, but understanding that we all have the same goal, student success.”
Dianne Bloor Part-time Faculty Award: Jennifer Liberty
“Jennifer has integrated experiential learning with outcome based practices by having the students complete a community project in the field. She then teaches the students how to complete and present a training plan that integrates their experiences of the project with the practical outcomes of the course objectives.”

Laurent Isabelle Award: William Garbarino
“There is an energy and enthusiasm in Bill’s classes because of his high-energy, friendly, humorous delivery, and engagement with the students. If our role is to impart knowledge, transfer skills, and influence behaviours and perceptions, Bill is an exemplar in the finest sense of the word. I have seen first-hand how Bill tirelessly gives of his time to instruct and coach struggling students.”
Lifetime Achievement Award: Joanne McDonald
“Joanne’s depth of knowledge and understanding of the workings of the College is without compare. She effectively uses this knowledge to find solutions to challenges and to advocate for both students and colleagues.”
Support Staff Award: Emma Slater
“Emma has creative ideas and innovative ways to enhance the vet programs and the student experience. In the classroom, she helps professors design learning activities that provide an authentic experience to the students.”
Team Award: AC Career Portal
“The team worked effectively over a nine-month period to create a new online career-readiness resource for students and graduates. The team’s work on this online platform adds significant resources to support student’s career-readiness knowledge and skills. This initiative supports the college mission: “To transform hopes and dreams into lifelong success” as well as the strategic plan goal to offer personalized learning opportunities to students.”
Part-time Support Staff Award: Lisa Bennet
“Lisa is the first point of contact for our community partners working with well over 100 early learning and care programs to ensure that placement dates and expectations are communicated. In her interactions with the community whether that be through email or phone calls, Lisa ensures placement hosts feel comfortable and confident in having a student.”
