About Us
We are a learning institute and our students require grades from each client. We are grateful for our clients as they support our students’ learning. When booking your first appointment, please keep in mind that you are now contributing to a student’s education and a commitment from you has been made.
We use the Dental Clinic to educate Dental Assistants, Dental Hygienists and Restorative Dental Hygienists. While delivering services to the public, students are supervised by Registered Dental Hygienists and Dentists.
We are NOT A DROP-IN emergency clinic. If you need an extraction, removal of wisdom teeth, a root canal, or you are in pain please call the Dental Emergency Service at 613-523-4185. If you need a restoration and you are not already a patient of the Algonquin College Dental Clinic, you can call The Ottawa Dental Society to find a Dentist in your area: 613-523-3876.
Before You Book
Each appointment is 2.5 hours and you will be required to commit to a series of appointments until treatment has been completed.
The number of appointments required is dependent upon the needs of each individual client. Generally, adults must complete 3-5 appointments and children must complete 2-3 appointments. Upon completion of your comprehensive oral health assessment, you will then be provided with a detailed care plan which will include the expected number of visits required.
Adult (16yrs or older) clinics are open to the public year-round. Children (6yrs – 16yrs) clinics are open to the public during the Fall and Spring terms. When booking your first appointment, please keep in mind that you are now contributing to a student’s education and a commitment from you has been made.
