Register today for Thriving in Action, an 11-week extracurricular program designed to help you reach your goals. Thriving in Action is a program that will help you learn to thrive in both your academic and personal life.
In this group session, students will meet weekly to learn key skills to increase motivation, optimism and resilience. You will also be introduced to learning strategies that will improve your time management and study skills. It’s not too late to turn things around, and it’s never too late to learn how to flourish!
What you need to know:
This program is offered either in person or virtually. Students can sign up for one set of sessions (virtual or in person) but not both. Students must register, as these are not drop-in sessions.
In person: Wednesdays, from 11am – 1pm, starting January 22 to April 2.
Virtual: Wednesdays, from 4pm-5:30pm, starting January 22 to April 2.
Personal commitment to the program is the strongest predictor of successful outcomes! Be prepared to attend all weeks to get the most out of this meaningful initiative.
Thriving in Action welcomes all students with a variety of life experiences. This includes (but isn’t limited to): students accessing Counselling Services, students registered with the Centre for Accessible Learning, students on academic probation, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, racialized, and minority students, mature students, international students, working students, and students raising or caring for families.
