It’s okay to feel not okay. Counselling Services offers caring, confidential, professional help at no cost for a variety of personal and mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, relationships, emotional distress, loneliness, and adapting to college or Canada.

There are many pathways to access support, and we can help you create a personalized path to wellness. Explore our supports below.

Self Led

Self-Led Supports

  • Review your own self-care: Consider how healthy habits are present in your life. These can include exercise, healthy eating, healthy sleeping, fulfilling social activities, mindfulness practice, time management, and other tools and strategies to deal with stress.
  • Use online tools for self-directed care: Check out our self-help apps and online tools, such as Bounceback, WellTrack, and the Essential Study Skills Guide.

Walk In

Same Day or Next Day Access

Access Counselling Services through a same or next day appointment, where a counsellor will meet with you and help you develop a plan to address your concern. Workshops

Workshops

Take your skills to the next level with workshops online and in the Library Learning Lab (C263) on various study and wellness skills including: time management, note-taking, motivation, study strategies, exam prep, stress management, group work and more.

Groups

Groups

We offer a variety of groups to help you manage your mental health concerns and improve mental wellness. Our groups provide a safe, supportive space where you can connect with your peers and explore different perspectives, skills, and coping strategies for dealing with challenges. Most groups are led by a counsellor.

Individual Sessions

Your counsellor may suggest individual sessions as part of your wellness plan. Through these sessions, you can talk to a counsellor for short-term support to help you thrive as a learner.

Community Referrals

If you need support outside of what Counselling Services provides, we will help connect you to resources in the community.
