Career in Government: Advancing employment pathways for students with disabilities

Location: Shaw Centre, Ottawa (shaw-centre.com)

Government of Canada departments and agencies are invited to participate in this David C. Onley Initiative event created to connect federal government employers with post-secondary students with disabilities from our four partner institutions, Algonquin College, Carleton University, La Cité and the University of Ottawa.

Current students, soon-to-be-graduates or graduates within the last 18 months who are seeking employment in the federal government are invited to attend.

12:00 – 13:30 Presentations for GC jobs group and opportunity to complete job applications, led and facilitated by the Public Service Commission of Canada and the Office of Public Service Accessibility (separate rooms for French and English)
12:00 – 13:30 Student employment group networks with departments and agencies (in main event space and more casual space)
13:30 – 14:00 Break (Groups switch)
14:00 – 15:30 Presentations for student employment group and opportunity to complete job applications, led and facilitated by the Public Service Commission of Canada and the Office of Public Service Accessibility (separate rooms for French and English)
14:00 – 15:30 Student employment group networks with departments and agencies (in main event space and more casual space)
