Tie into Business Networking Night: A Review

This year’s Tie into Business Networking Night at Algonquin College was a tremendous success and saw a new all-time high attendance filling the room with over 100 participants.

This event featured an experienced panel of alumni sharing the importance of co-operative education in their lives, employer partners, students, staff and faculty, and volunteers, this event had no shortage of experience diversity.

“Being my first time at this event, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but was greeted by kind and courteous students working the event, who were eager to make a good first impression,” says Sabir Mufti, Industry Account Manager, from the Cooperative Education Department. “The Tie into Business event is a fantastic way to link students with employers, without the stress of job interviews, and it is a great experiential learning tool on how to present themselves to potential employers.”

The venue gave an aura of professionalism and elegance, and the panel of alumnus gave amazing insight on the journey from school to work, the challenges and ultimately the successes of securing the career of their choice.
