Valedictorian Selection Criteria
A Valedictorian is recognized by Algonquin College as being an outstanding contribution to the College community. Valedictorians are nominated to the Registrar’s Office by their academic departments. Once the nomination file has been reviewed and is confirmed to be eligible for graduation, the Valedictorian is contacted by their department and given next steps. A member of the Convocation Team will then reach out to the confirmed Valedictorian to go over speech criteria and additional information.
