Algonquin College’s Perth Campus held its Spring 2023 Convocation on June 7.
Students from the campus’ Heritage Carpentry and Joinery, Practical Nursing, Business – Agriculture and Early Childhood Education programs took to the stage to receive their diplomas amid a crowd of friends, family and loved ones. President and CEO Claude Brulé began the ceremony by commending the new graduates for the hard work, dedication and resiliency that helped them navigate the challenges of the past few years. Other speakers at the event included honorary degree recipient John Stewart, a heritage conservation expert and long-time friend of the Perth Campus, and valedictorian Emma Martin from the Business – Agriculture program.

As we prepare for the upcoming Spring Convocation, we are pleased to highlight our valedictorians who will be speaking to their respective classes during their ceremonies.
Question: What are some of the highlights during your time at Algonquin?
Answer: Almost every week there were events or something to do. After a busy week there was something fun or something to do. Those are the kinds of things I really liked about the school.

Answer: I chose Algonquin because they value respect, integrity, caring and learning, not just from students, but also faculty. It wasn’t just about choosing a college, it was about choosing a community to be a part of.
