In celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day, Ocean Wise and WWF-Canada are leading four cleanups from coast to coast. Make an impact in your community by participating in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup at Petrie Island on September 15! Volunteers will meet at the College and transportation will be provided to Petrie Island.
This cleanup is organized as a part of Living Planet @ Campus, a national program from World Wildlife Fund Canada that was piloted at Algonquin College, and is expanding to college and university campuses across the country. Read more >

A team of Brightspace Ambassadors is fanning out across Algonquin College this month to help students become familiar with Brightspace, the College’s Learning Management System (LMS).
All students can readily acquaint themselves with the LMS using the digital training course, the Brightspace Essentials (Student) course, inside their Brightspace accounts. This course provides students with tutorials and video content to help them learn every function of Brightspace. Read more >

Algonquin buried a 2017 time capsule in a wall of the DARE District on Thursday. It is slated to be opened 50 years from now when the College celebrates its 100th anniversary.
