Cooperative EducationNational Co-op Week is the perfect time to celebrate the impact and benefits of cooperative education.

On Thursday, March 21, Algonquin College will mark its annual Co-op Awards of Excellence, which honour the extraordinary accomplishments and contributions of our co-op employers and students.

There are many benefits to both students and employers involved with the AC Cooperative Education program. Did you know that within the fist two years of graduating, co-op graduates can earn $2,000 – $8,000 more than graduates without a co-op experience?

Learner Driven Plan: Playback Sessions – Have your say!

Learner Driven PlanAll students are invited to review the possibilities and strategy options being considered for Algonquin College’s Learner Driven Plan. Have your say in Playback Sessions scheduled on all three campuses between March 13 and April 8.

You have already made a difference. Fall consultations generated over 7,600 ideas and comments from learners, employees and stakeholders. Now we need your help to examine and validate the key themes and potential elements that have emerged.

AC Co-op’s new home in C226!

C226Algonquin College’s Co-op department has a new home in room C226, as it opened its doors to staff and students in its grand opening ceremony on February 20, 2019.

Vice-President, Innovation & Strategy, Doug Wotherspoon, RBC manager Rania Zammar, and co-op student Gurkirat Toor all shared words encouragement prior to the Wednesday ribbon cutting. Each speaker re-enforced how integral cooperative education is to the enrichment of education at Algonquin College.
